Delete account and data
You can delete your Gratia account and all data associated with it at any time, free of charge.
In the app
- Open Gratia and tap your photo or initials in the top right corner of any tab to open your Profile.
- Tap “Reset App”.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field and tap “Permanently delete my account”.
Deletion is immediate and permanent: the account and data cannot be recovered afterwards.
What is deleted
On our servers: the account and every record linked to it — saved reflections (including the text typed to generate them), history of verses shown, usage count, subscription status, consent records, content you reported and the profile photo.
On the device: the Spiritual Journal and Confession (date, reminder and penitential notes, which never leave the device), the name, preferences, access PIN, scheduled notifications, the affirmation shown in the widget and the app's temporary files.
At RevenueCat (subscription management): the customer record linked to the account.
If you subscribe to Gratia Pro
Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription: billing is handled by the store. Cancel it first in Google Play (Play Store › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions) or in the App Store (Settings › your name › Subscriptions).
What may remain for a period
Access records (Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet, art. 15): IP address, date and time of use are kept for 6 months as a legal obligation, even after the account is deleted, and are only provided under a court order. After that period, they are deleted automatically.
Server technical logs keep only operational metadata (for example, date, response type, errors and a technical account identifier), never the content of what you wrote. They are deleted automatically at the end of the infrastructure provider's log retention period.
Without the app installed
If you used Gratia with a linked email and no longer have the app, send a deletion request to support@appgratia.com from that same email address. We will confirm the deletion by email.
Accounts used without an email (anonymous) keep no data that allows them to be located by email. To delete them, use “Reset App” before uninstalling: uninstalling the app does not delete the account.
